About Us
Serving local families since 2002, Dizzybus is a joyful, movement-based preschool and mobile program where caring teachers help children build confidence, feel known, and love learning.
Our Story
Dizzybus began with one simple idea: childhood should be joyful, active, and filled with confidence-building experiences — and those opportunities should be easy for families to access.
Before starting Dizzybus, I worked as an environmental engineer and recruiter, traveling across the country while raising two young children. Everything changed when I was stranded in Denver on September 11, 2001. Driving home the next day, all I could think about was being with my family. I knew it was time to make a change and build something meaningful closer to home.
As a working parent, I experienced firsthand how difficult it was to give young children enriching activities. Like many families, we rushed to evening and weekend classes after long childcare days. I wanted to create something better — a way for children to enjoy movement, fun, and confidence-building experiences during their regular school day, without adding stress for families.
That’s when I discovered the Tumblebus, a mobile gymnastics program that travels directly to childcare centers so children can step out of their classroom and into a magical world of movement and play.
When I discovered the Tumblebus concept, one of the things I loved most was that it wasn’t a franchise — it meant I could build the program in my own way and shape it around the experience I truly wanted for children and families. I named it Dizzy’s Tumblebus, a perfect fit for me since I’ve been called “Dizzy” since I was two years old.
Before long, something unexpected started happening. When we pulled up to childcare centers, children would run to the windows chanting, “Dizzybus! Dizzybus!” The name stuck, and over time Dizzy’s Tumblebus naturally evolved into what our community knows today as simply Dizzybus.
In 2002, Dizzybus started with one yellow bus and a big dream — a dream that continues to grow with every child we serve.

Growing With Our Families
What began as a mobile tumbling program quickly grew into something even more meaningful for our community.
In 2008, we opened Dizzy’s Bus Stop — an indoor play space where families could come together for active play, movement, and connection. It quickly became a joyful gathering place for young children and their parents.
With the help of an incredible team of teachers, we saw an opportunity to build something more lasting for families. In 2010, that vision grew into Dizzybus Preschool, combining our focus on movement, confidence-building, and joyful learning into a structured early childhood program.
In 2018, we moved to our current South Bellevue location, transitioning from our indoor play facility to a dedicated preschool and camp setting. Our new home gave us exactly what we needed: welcoming classrooms, space for our buses, a large outdoor playground, and a peaceful neighborhood environment for young children to learn and grow.
Each step in our journey has been shaped by one goal — creating a place where children feel confident, supported, and excited to come to school.
Our Preschool Program
Dizzybus Preschool is located in a quiet neighborhood in South Bellevue, where we were fortunate to find a warm and welcoming church facility that offered everything we were hoping for — safe classrooms, outdoor play space, and room for our buses. We rent our classroom space within the building but operate as a fully independent, non-religious preschool program, giving us the feel of a calm neighborhood school while maintaining the unique energy and movement that have always defined Dizzybus.
One of the special advantages of our location is the large parking area, which allows us to safely house our fleet of seven Dizzybus vehicles used for our mobile classes as well as our preschool and camp programs. Children also enjoy a spacious outdoor playground where they can run, explore, and play as part of their daily routine.
Our program is intentionally small so that every child is truly known. This has become one of our greatest strengths, allowing us to build strong relationships with families and provide the individualized attention young learners need to thrive. Our classrooms focus on confidence, movement, friendships, and joyful early learning in a warm, close-knit environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to come to school each day.
Our Mobile Dizzybus Program
While our preschool is a special part of our community, Dizzybus continues to serve hundreds of children each week through our original mobile movement program.
Today, our bright yellow Dizzybus vehicles travel throughout the Eastside and greater Seattle area, bringing weekly tumbling and movement classes directly to local childcare centers and schools. Each week, approximately 400 children step onto the bus for active, confidence-building classes designed just for young learners.
In addition to our weekly classes, we also welcome children onto the Dizzybus for field trips and unforgettable birthday party experiences, giving families and schools a fun, energetic way to celebrate and explore.
The mobile program remains at the heart of who we are — bringing joyful movement, confidence, and excitement to children across our community, just as it did when the very first Dizzybus launched in 2002.
What Matters Most To Us
We believe children grow best when they feel:
• Known
• Encouraged
• Safe
• Joyful
• Excited to come back
Whether a child joins us for preschool, weekly bus classes, a field trip, or a birthday celebration, our goal is always the same: help every child build confidence and love learning through positive early experiences.
